"This new Twin Tube damper has a 36 mm piston with an piggy back gas reservoir.
The standard configuration is 2-way adjustable; 1-way compression and 1-way rebound, but is easy to upgrade to become 3 or even 4-way adjusted. The big advantage with the damper is the integral reservoir that makes it very compact and easy to package. It may also be used in applications that do not allow external (or piggyback) reservoirs!
Due to the powerful external adjusters, opening the shock for valve changing can be reduced to a minimum. In some applications, the shock can be re-valved without without taking the it off the car.
The top eye can easily be re-clocked without opening the damper.
No balancing of reservoir damping (""can stack"") to main piston damping has to be done to avoid cavitation and improve damping response. Maximum response will always occur. With no reservoir valve, the internal pressure of the damper unit will be kept to a minimum. The low amount of hysteresis results in excellent short stroke/high force performance. Also a very low gas pressure can be used, without any loss of damping performance.
